The calculations provided here serve as approximate values and are based on our own careful measurements on 100 metres of hose lines that were laid out in a straight line or in bays on a flat surface. The underlying tests were carried out in the pressure range 1 bar to 12 bar and at a flow rate of up to 9000 l/min on the following hoses:
D25 30m Gollmer&Hummel Titan X-Treme
C32 15m Gollmer&Hummel Titan 2F
C38 15m Gollmer&Hummel Titan X-Treme
C42 15m Gollmer&Hummel Titan X-Treme
C52 15m Gollmer&Hummel Titan X-Treme
B75 20m Gollmer&Hummel Titan X-Treme
A110 50m Gollmer&Hummel Progress Supply
F152 50m Gollmer&Hummel Progress Supply
Values outside this range are no longer based on carefully collected measurement series, but should be regarded as estimates. In contrast to many other calculation models, this calculator is not based on a constant pipe friction coefficient. Instead, it uses a curve that is based on numerous measured values per hose diameter and reflects the flow behaviour of modern fire hoses, which differs from that of rigid pipes.
It should be noted that coupling distances have no significant influence on the calculated values.
