LIQUID MANURE DISTRIBUTION

Slurry spreading close to the ground is soil friendly and protects the environment. And with hosing technology yield is increasing reliable!

Our TOP recommendations for manure hose

Why spread slurry with application system and flexible slurry hose?
What makes slurry hosing interesting?

Liquid manure has two unbeatable advantages: it usually contains all the important nutrients for plant and at the same time provides organic matter for the soil. It ensures sustainable soil fertility.

Slurry hosing for manure spreading is becoming more and more popular in agriculture. No wonder, because the hosing of slurry and digestate stands for

  • soil-friendly,
  • time-saving,
  • near-ground spreading of liquid manure and
  • and seasonally more flexible fertilization.

The cost of slurry hosing is an investment that pays off in terms of yield. In addition, almost all areas, even on slopes, can be fertilized precisely and safely for the environment with slurry hosing. They are connecting on one hand the slurry storage with the pump unit and on the other hand the spreading unit with the pump unit.

PU slurry hoses from Gollmer & Hummel are extremely robust and durable because the outer cover and inner cover are equally strong and the fabric of the pressure hose is embedded centered and optimally protected. Before and after using the GH flexible slurry hoses can be space-saving stored on hose reels.

When liquid manure is spread by hose, no heavy slurry tanker needs to drive across the field – a pump with feeder hose delivers the slurry directly from the slurry pit to where it’s needed – the field! The constant to and fro between the field and the slurry store is no more, and there’ll be less dirt on access ways and roads.

As the towing vehicle with spreader and suction hose is lighter than a tractor with conventional slurry tanker, soil compression is minimal when spreading by hose.

Even in early spring, when the soil is wet or slightly frozen, the liquid manure hose combination can move up and down the field loop by loop without damaging the soil, keeping the suction hose moving non-stop until the ground has received precisely the right amount of liquid manure.

Questions & answers about liquid manure distribution with slurry hoses

How does liquid manure hosing work?
Step by step: slurry hosing!

How do the individual technical components such as the slurry hose, feed hose, pump / pump station, distributor, applicator  interact?

1) Lay out slurry hose (-> feeder hose) between lagoon and field.

2) Lay out slurry hose (-> drag hose) from the pump station to the furthest point on the field.

3) Couple the drag hose to the pump and distributor unit or applicator unit.

4) Systematically drive over the area and apply slurry close to the ground. The hose is pulled across the field only once and can be driven over without any problems.

5) After use, clean slurry hose with compressed air, disconnect and roll up to save space.

Features: WHAT MAKES OUR SLURRY HOSES unique?

GH PU slurry hoses such as the GH HILCOFLEX PU DRAG serve as a transport hose between the lagoon and the field and are suitable as a drag hose directly after the tractor.

Gollmer & Hummel develop hoses in line with your particular needs and requirements. We do this so that you can rely absolutely and completely on the slurry hose by your side.

GH Normalization for
diameter stable feeder hoses

After our PU hoses have been produced through extrusion, as an experienced hose manufacturer, Gollmer & Hummel carries out a final, all-important production step:

the hose is prepared for its task in the so-called GH normalization process.

The normalized hose is impressively supple to handle. And if a normalized hose needs rebinding, the coupling fits the hose like a hand in a glove, because the diameter never changes from the hose’s first use to the end of its life.

Centered fabric insert
for tensile & robust drag hoses

During the extrusion of feeder and suction hoses from Gollmer & Hummel, the be-all and end-all is keeping the jacket lining constantly centered while it is coated with PU or rubber inside and out.

A jacket lining embedded 100% in the center of the hose means that the outer cover is uniformly thick and provides the fabric with optimum protection.

The intact fabric safeguards the hose’s tensile strength and makes sure it withstands natural abrasion, point loads and mechanical damage.
