Privacy Policy

Welcome to our website and thank you for taking an interest in our products and services. As well as offering a comprehensive range of services on our website, we also aim to ensure your privacy is protected. You can therefore rest assured that we will treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

The legal bases for data protection are set out in the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG), the Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz – TMG), and in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC).

The following Privacy Policy provides you, as a visitor and user of our website, with a clear overview of the instances in which we collect and process your personal data, when we forward such data to third parties for specific purposes, and how we use your personal data ourselves. Where we require your consent to process your data, these places will be highlighted in the text below. You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. The consequences of doing this are listed below under the respective declaration of consent.

SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the website of www.gollmer-hummel.net, operated by Gollmer & Hummel GmbH, Gässlesweg 23, 75334 Straubenhardt, Germany, together with all sub-pages, hereinafter referred to as “websites”.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the use of third-party websites, even if we make reference to these sites on our website or provide links to content on these sites. In such cases, the General Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, etc. of the respective operators of the websites (third parties) shall apply exclusively. We do not verify the content or legality of these sites.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data is any information of a personal or material nature that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, email and postal address, and also the IP address of the device you are using. Information that either cannot be linked, or can only be linked with a disproportionate amount of effort, to you as a person is not classed as personal data.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WILL WE COLLECT, PROCESS AND USE?

Certain data may be collected automatically on our websites: on visiting our websites, your web browser automatically transmits the IP address of the device you are using, information about the web browser and operating system you are using as well as any so-called referrer URLs, i.e. the URLs of the website you previously visited. The date and time of your visit is also recorded. This data is temporarily stored in log files on the server – insofar as the storage of such data is deemed necessary for security reasons and to prevent cyberattacks on our websites – and automatically deleted within six weeks at the latest. We, or rather our provider, use this log data solely for performing statistical analyses for the purpose of operating, securing and optimizing our websites. The data collected shall neither be linked to a particular person nor combined with data from other data sources. Specific cases of suspected misuse and/or unlawful use of our websites, however, may be investigated and pursued.

Furthermore, we only collect and process personal data insofar as this is necessary for justifying, implementing or terminating legal contractual obligations between you and us or for protecting our legetimate interests, or if you in any other way provide us with information. We shall not forward your data to parties outside of our company without due cause, unless we are legally bound to disclose such data or are required to call upon third parties bound by professional secrecy, such as a lawyer resident in Germany, to assert our claims. The same applies to the use of your data for advertising purposes.

Specifically, we use your personal data as follows:

WHAT SHOULD YOU BE AWARE OF WHEN CONTACTING US?

You can contact us by phone, post or email. Please refer to our “Contact” page for details. Here you also have the option of using our “Contact” form. To enable us to respond to your inquiry swiftly and most effectively, we would ask that you provide us with certain personal details (your full name and email address). The relevant fields are marked with an asterisk (*). In many cases, your request can be dealt much more easily by providing details about the nature of your inquiry (short-term demand, annual demand) and your address. You can therefore also provide these details in the designated fields. These fields are optional rather than mandatory, however. In any case, we will make every effort to respond to your inquiry in the best way possible and to your satisfaction. You can also rest assured that we will only use your personal data to respond to your inquiry. However, we reserve the right in certain instances to deny your request to be contacted if specific information required in a particular case has not been provided.

WHAT SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS APPLY TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

On our websites, we offer you the option of applying for vacant positions by email (hr@gollmer-hummel.de). This generally involves you providing us with personal data.

By submitting your application, you are confirming that the information you have provided is accurate. Please note that any false statements or deliberate omissions may constitute grounds for rejection or termination of the employment contract.

Why do we collect and process personal data?

Personal data is collected, stored, processed and used solely in connection with your interest in a current or future position with us and for the purpose of processing your application, i.e. in order to contact you and/or decide whether to further consider you as part of the application process. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. If your application is successful, the data provided will be used for administrative purposes during the course of your employment.

If, when contacting us, you provide us with personal data that is not absolutely necessary for reaching an employment decision or, following employment, for conducting or terminating the employment relationship, you hereby expressly agree to us storing and forwarding such data in-house. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us a message via the contact form or by email. You will also find the relevant contact email address at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Who can view my data?

Your application will be viewed and processed exclusively by the relevant contacts. All employees entrusted with data processing are obliged to keep your data confidential. Under no circumstances do third parties receive your information. Data is processed exclusively in Germany. Insofar as external service providers are required to manage and carry out the application process, we have ensured that, similarly, such external providers maintain data confidentiality, have taken safety precautions against unauthorized perusal and only handle your data on our behalf and according to our instructions.

How long is my data stored?

If we are not able to offer you a position at our company, the data you have provided will be kept for up to six months for the purpose of responding to queries in connection with your application and rejection.

COOKIES

Like virtually every other site on the Internet, our websites also use cookies. Please refer to our Cookie Policy.

ANALYTICAL TOOLS

We use various tools on our websites to analyze user behavior and posts, and to constantly evaluate and improve our website design.

Our websites use Google Analytics, a Web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, US (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer to help websites analyze how you use the sites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of these websites is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google evaluates this information for us and compiles reports, to help us learn more about the usage of our websites. Google may also transmit this information to third parties, if required by law or insofar as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

We have programmed Google Analytics to anonymize your IP address. Prior to being transmitted to the Google servers in the US, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This prevents it from being traced. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the US and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

We also use the technical extension "Google Signals", which enables cross-device tracking. This makes it possible to associate a single website visitor with different end devices. However, this only happens if the visitor has logged into a Google service when visiting the website and has also activated the "personalized advertising" option in their Google account settings. Even then, however, no personal data or user profiles become accessible to us; they remain anonymous for us.

You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also opt out from Google’s collection of the data generated by the cookie, relating to your use of the website, by downloading and installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. An opt-out cookie will then prevent data from being collected on all future visits to this website. Please note that deleting all cookies will also delete the opt-out cookie, which must then be re-saved, if necessary.

As an alternative to this browser add-on, or if you are using a mobile device, you can also prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics by disabling the menu item “Functionality” in your cookie settings.

More information on Google Analytics is available at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html. Information on Google’s Privacy Policy can be found at http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
